MEET THE TEAM

Our teamteam

Our teachers and staff encourage students to incorporate their imagination and curiosity to enrich the learning process and take their academic performance to the next level.

We believe that by transforming the learning experience into a fun and exciting process, our students are more likely to realise their full potential.
Robert is EGI's enthusiastic and inspiring Leader of Education, where he is committed to creating a caring, enjoyable, challenging and friendly learning environment in which students and teachers thrive.

Originally from the UK, Robert graduated from Bishop Grosseteste College, Lincoln in 1987, and began his career working in Cambridgeshire as a Primary teacher with Drama speciality. He began his international teaching career in 1991 in Cascais and has since been Head of schools in Portugal and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Robert is a keen photographer and world traveller, and still finds occasional time to act and direct in theatre in Lisbon (as well as some tv and cinema.)
Jill is EGI's Deputy Head for the Creche. With her contagious enthusiasm, Jill is very excited to expand her vision and, together with the EGI team, accomplish the school of her dreams.

Originally from the United States, Jill graduated with a degree in elementary education from Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH, USA in 1993, the year she started working as a teacher in the Cascais area. Her participation in Reggio Emilia and Harvard Graduate School of Education conferences have had a substantial impact on serving not only young children but also older students through to high school. She founded in 1996 what would become Jill's Place and since 2005 has created a "home away from home" for young children from all around the world.
Paula is EGI's Deputy Head for Early Years and Primary. Paula joined the EGI team in 2024 and is committed to all phases of the school's growth process. She very much looks forward to being a key player in the school's bright future.
